2012 Exhibitions

I'm excited to post that I will be exhibiting in two new shows this year. One is "260 Fingers" which describes itself as a "short, sweet show of really worthwhile clay art". I am very pleased to have been invited to take part. The exhibit will be in Ottawa November 11th-13th. Find out more at www.260fingers.ca.

The other show is titled "Matieres et Memoires - La Terre et ses Maitres Ceramistes". It has been curated by Nathalie LeCoz at the Centre D'art de Kamouraska, Qc. It will run from the 3rd of August to the 8th of October. The first show will take place in Kamouraska, but there is an intent for it to be a travelling exhibition. I will post more details as plans advance.

Teabowls & Guild of Crafts

I recently had someone from Toronto inquire about purchasing a teabowl from me, I love it when word travels outside of Montreal about my work. I quickly realized that just e-mailing photos of what I had available wasn't quite as good as having them available for purchase online. I am considering opening an etsy store some time this year to make purchases like that easier for smaller pieces. Stay tuned for more info on this in the coming months.

Also in more recent news, my work will now be available for purchase at the Guild of Crafts, located at 1460-B Sherbrooke Street West in Montreal, as of this coming Saturday the 21st of January.

Guild of Crafts Submission

Here's a selection of some of the pieces I will be submitting to the Canadian Guild of Crafts in hopes of having my work displayed in their store on Sherbrooke Street in Montreal.

Update

I currently have the window display at Galerie Farfelu Westmount for the month of September. Catch a glimpse of some of my latest work whether we're open or closed, 39 Somerville Westmount, Qc.

Also, my work will be available at the annual pottery show at Marlin Orchards in Cornwall, Ontario during this coming Thanksgiving weekend (Saturday October 8th through Monday October 10th). It's a great opportunity to buy local ceramics from the artists while shopping for your harvest produce of apples, pumpkins or plants at the garden center. For directions click here.

Farfelu at 20

Galerie Farfelu Westmount has been open for 20 years! I've been around since the beginning, so was selected to be the one interviewed about it. It has been great being a part of the co-op for all these years.

New Work

Within the week I hope to post some images of new work. I had lots of items photographed before carting them off to this year's 1001 pots show but haven't had the chance to get them up on the blog. Hopefully most of what I will post are items that have already been purchased! I was lucky to have had a pretty successful season. Now I'm getting back to work to prepare for Christmas sales at Farfelu Westmount, and hopefully will be submitting work to the Canadian Guild of Crafts.
